In ultra-fine filtration
The TRANSOR story began in the early 1970’s, when we introduced the concept of Edge Filtration Technology that separated micron level particles from oil for high voltage power transmission applications to great success. In the intervening years, TRANSOR’s growth has been fueled by expansion into many other operations such as EDM, cutting tools, ID/OD and gear grinding, honing, superfinishing, and other precision machining applications.
As we keep evolving into the 21st century, the TRANSOR brand has become globally recognized for achieving the highest standard in ultra-fine filtration.

Cutting Edge Technology in Ultra-Fine Filtration Since 1970’s
Transor Established
Transor Filter was established in Stockholm, Sweden in early 1970s, to provide micron-level filtration systems for high-voltage power transformers.
Transor Expands
Expansion continues into Germany and North America, mainly to provide micron-level filtration for Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) process, a breakthrough was made into the cutting tool grinding business in 1990s.
Transor's Expansion Continues!
Transor installs the first unit for use with carbide grinding, opening a market for carbide reclamation. Transor also introduces TG-250 & EXP grinding oils and Transor’s manufacturing space doubles!
Transor in South America
More growth and expansion as Transor enters the South American marketplace. and a Transor Filter opens in Tokyo introducing their Filtration Tech to Japan. In the US, Transor expands to a new 25,000 sf plant.
Transor Growth
With sales and service offices in Tokyo and Sao Paulo, Transor Filter becomes a global leader in the filtration industry and expands to a new 50,000sf facility!
Transor Continues to Evolve
Johan Svensson Transor’s appointed is President, and after decades of success, Irv Kaagebecomes Transor’s Chairman Emeritus
